When Poul Cadovius developed the Pia Chair in 1959, his ambition was to create a chair that captured the times yet remained remarkably light - both visually and physically. The Pia Bar Stool and Pia Counter Stool carry on this legacy, embracing a “less is more” philosophy and showcasing the same refined elegance as the original Pia Chair. Each stool features thin, conical-shaped solid wood legs with a hand-sanded rounding at the top and finger-joined front legs. The seat is made of hand-woven paper cord. The moulded backrest and the footrest ensure solid support and comfort when seated.
